- If your vinyl is rolled, lay flat and wait till
the roll has relaxed before continuing.
- Start with a clean and dry surface. If you are
Applying lettering you can use a ruler and a pencil
to draw a faint line underneath your lettering as a guide. Use
a Measuring tape, ruler and or level to determine exactly
where you want to place your vinyl, taping it up, along the top
lightly with scotch tape or masking tape depending on your
surface. The backing should be facing the surface. If you drew
a line underneath lettering you can use a level to determine
if it is straight. Because of the variation in design of our vinyl
pieces you may just have to eyeball it. Step back and look at
your piece, reposition if needed. Once you have positioned it
the way you want it, make sure it is taped securely to the wall.
Rub the surface of the transfer tape with your burnishing tool
to insure vinyl is adhered to transfer tape.
- Flip up your vinyl piece being careful not to
remove tape adhering it to the wall, peel off baking paper making
sure all vinyl is sticking to transfer tape. Carefully lay transfer
tape back onto your surface; once vinyl is adhered to the surface
you will not be able to reposition it.
- Rub the surface of your transfer tape with your
burnishing tool, Making sure to rub out any air bubbles.
Applying more pressure rub surface again to adhere well to the
wall.
- Peel off transfer tape and positioning tape,
leaving your beautiful design on your surface.
